Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the relationship between The Hadeia (the Store) and anyone who uses the website or its communication channels, purchases its products, or takes part in its activities and workshops (the Customer). Completing an order, confirming a booking or using the website constitutes express acceptance of these terms, so please read them carefully before dealing with us. These terms apply to both sides of the Store's activity: the sale of products and gifts, and the organisation of activities and workshops for children.

1. Definitions

The Store: The Hadeia, commercial registration no. 275436, based in Doha, State of Qatar. The Website: the online platform thehadeia.com and its associated official accounts and approved ordering channels. Product: any item offered for sale, whether ready-made or made to order. Personalised Product: any product made or modified at the Customer's request, or bearing a name, phrase or design specific to them. Activity: any workshop, event or programme organised by the Store, with or without a fee. Guardian: the parent, legal guardian, or a person authorised by them in writing to accompany and supervise the child.

2. Eligibility and Contracting

The Customer must have full legal capacity to contract; where the beneficiary is a minor, the contract is made in the name of their guardian and under their responsibility. The Customer confirms the accuracy of the details they provide and bears the consequences of providing incorrect or incomplete details. The Store may refuse or cancel any order for objective reasons, such as stock running out, suspected fraud, inability to deliver, or a breach of these terms; refusal may not be arbitrary or discriminatory.

3. Presentation of Products and Activities, and Accuracy of Descriptions

The Store takes care to ensure that images, descriptions and measurements accurately represent the product, bearing in mind that slight colour variations may result from screen settings or lighting. Handmade or personalised products may show minor differences from one piece to another; this is the nature of handcrafting and is not considered a defect. Each activity's description states the suitable age group, duration, location, and whether it includes full supervision by the Store or requires the guardian's presence.

4. Orders: Confirmation, Preparation, Changes and Cancellation

Formation of the order: An order is not concluded merely by adding items to the cart or sending it through communication channels; it is concluded when the Store expressly confirms it after checking availability and receiving payment or the deposit. The Customer receives a confirmation including the order details, its value and the estimated fulfilment time. Preparation time: Orders are prepared within 1–3 working days of confirmation, unless otherwise agreed for personalised or occasion orders. Personalised products: Production begins only after payment is confirmed and the Customer has approved the final details. Changes: Any change after order confirmation is subject to the Store's approval and depends on the stage of fulfilment; no changes are accepted to personalised products once production has started. Cancellation by the Customer: The Customer may cancel before preparation or production begins and receive a full refund; once production of a personalised product has started, cancellation is not accepted since the product cannot be reused or sold to others.

5. Prices and Payment

All listed prices are final and in Qatari Riyals, with no taxes added. Should a tax or fee be imposed by future legislation, it will apply only to orders placed after it comes into force, and its amount will be clearly disclosed before the order is completed. All accepted payment methods are shown on the payment page before the order is completed. An order is not considered confirmed until payment or the agreed deposit is complete. Delivery fees are shown clearly before the order is completed, and no undisclosed fees are added. The Store may change its prices at any time, but changes never apply retroactively to orders confirmed before the change. In the event of a serious and obvious pricing error, the Store may notify the Customer and cancel the order with a full refund; this clause may not be used to withdraw from a valid transaction.

6. Offers and Discounts

Each offer states its start and end dates and its conditions, and ends when its period expires or its allocated quantity runs out, whichever comes first. More than one coupon or discount cannot be combined on a single order unless the offer terms expressly state otherwise. Discounts do not apply retroactively to orders confirmed before the offer began. The pre-discount price must be a genuine price previously sold at; false or misleading discounts are not advertised. When an item purchased under an offer is returned, the amount actually paid after the discount is refunded.

7. Delivery

The Store delivers within the State of Qatar. The estimated delivery time is one working day from when the order is ready; this is an estimate and not a binding deadline unless a specific date is expressly agreed. The Customer must provide a correct address and contact number; the Store is not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect details. If delivery fails because the Customer is absent or does not respond, a re-delivery fee may apply. The Store remains responsible to the Customer for carrying out the delivery, follows up on the shipment with the delivery company and takes the necessary steps to deliver it or refund its value; it is not liable for delays caused by force majeure or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. The Store bears the risk of loss or damage to the product during transport; the risk passes to the Customer upon actual delivery to them or their representative.

8. Quality, Inspection and Damage on Delivery

All products are inspected and carefully packaged before shipping. The Customer should inspect the product on receipt; if it arrives damaged or broken, we kindly ask that the Store be notified within 24 hours with clear photos of the product and packaging, to speed up resolution and document the incident with the delivery company. This timeframe is preferred for documentation and speed only; it is not a condition for forfeiting the Customer's legal right to repair, exchange or refund where there is a defect or non-conformity.

9. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

In keeping with consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Law: Faulty or non-conforming products: If the Customer receives a faulty product or one that does not match its description or specifications, they are entitled to repair, exchange or a refund at no extra cost, including return shipping, once the Store has verified the fault; this right also applies to personalised products. Change-of-mind returns: A non-faulty, non-personalised product may be returned or exchanged provided it is in its original, unused condition with all packaging and accessories; the Customer bears return shipping in this case. Exceptions: Change-of-mind returns and exchanges are not accepted for personalised or made-to-order products, products bearing custom names or phrases, perishable products, or products that have been opened or used, for health and hygiene reasons. This exception does not affect the Customer's rights where there is a fault or a mistake by the Store. Refunds: Amounts due are refunded by the same payment method within a reasonable time after the return is approved, unless the parties agree on another method.

10. Activities and Workshops: Booking, Cancellation and Rescheduling

A booking is confirmed once its fee or the agreed deposit is paid. If the Customer cancels sufficiently in advance of the activity date, as specified at booking, the amount or a portion of it is refunded according to the booking terms; late cancellation or no-show without notice may not be refunded, given the prior arrangements. If the Store must cancel or postpone an activity, the Customer may choose between rescheduling or a full refund. The Guardian must respect the scheduled times and the rules of the venue hosting the activity.

11. Child Safety, Supervision and Liability

Activities are held in a child-friendly environment, and the Store takes due care to ensure their safety. The Guardian must disclose in advance any medical condition or allergy the child has, especially to certain foods or materials used in the activities. Unless an activity is expressly stated to include full supervision by the Store, the Guardian or their representative remains responsible for accompanying and supervising the child, and is liable for any damage the child intentionally causes to property or others. Nothing in these terms exempts the Store from liability for damage resulting from its negligence or breach of its duty of care; liability remains in such cases in accordance with the law.

12. Photography and Image Rights

The Store may take photos or videos during activities for documentation or marketing. No content clearly showing a child is published without the prior consent of their guardian, and the guardian may refuse photography or request the removal of content relating to their child at any time.

13. Intellectual Property

All website content — logos, designs, images, text and activity concepts — is the exclusive property of The Hadeia and protected by intellectual property laws. It may not be copied, reused or distributed for commercial purposes without the Store's prior written permission.

14. User Conduct

The Customer agrees not to use the website or communication channels for any unlawful purpose, post offensive content, provide false information, or harm the Store's reputation.

15. Privacy and Data Protection

The Store collects only the data needed to complete the order and communicate; details are in the Privacy Policy published on the website, in accordance with Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law.

16. Limitation of Liability

The Store takes care to provide high-quality products and services and accurate information, and is not liable for indirect or consequential damage resulting from misuse of a product contrary to instructions. These terms do not limit or exclude any consumer right established by law, nor any liability that cannot be excluded under Qatari law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or personal injury caused by the Store's negligence. Any clause to the contrary is deemed void without affecting the validity of the remaining terms.

17. Force Majeure

The Store is not in breach of its obligations if their performance is prevented by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, exceptional weather, government orders, customs procedures or service outages. It will notify the Customer without delay and take a suitable alternative or refund amounts paid.

18. Personalised and Occasion Orders

The Customer must provide the Store in writing with the names, dates and text to be printed or engraved, and is responsible for their accuracy; returns are not accepted for spelling errors in the details they provided. If the Store provides a preview or initial design, the Customer must review and approve it in writing before production begins; the approved version prevails in any dispute. Orders for a specific date must be placed sufficiently in advance, and the date becomes binding once the order is accepted in writing. The Customer confirms that any logos, images or text they provide do not infringe the rights of others, and bears responsibility for this.

19. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

Complaints are submitted through the channels listed in the Contact section, and the Store commits to responding within one to two working days. Both parties will seek to settle any dispute amicably before resorting to the competent authorities. In all cases, the Customer has the right to submit a complaint to the Consumer Protection Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on hotline 16001; this clause is not a waiver of any right established for them.

20. Changes to These Terms

The Store may amend these terms in future by publishing the updated version and its date on the website; no amendment applies retroactively to orders or bookings confirmed before the publication date.

21. General Provisions

Severability: The invalidity or unenforceability of any clause does not affect the validity of the rest, and the invalid clause is replaced by the closest lawful provision that achieves the parties' intent. No waiver: The Store's tolerance in not claiming a right is not a waiver of it. Language: The Arabic text is the legally authoritative version; any translation is provided for convenience only. Electronic communications: Both parties agree that email and text messages are valid means of notification and documentation. Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws in force in the State of Qatar, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
